Data in Bloom Strategies

Built by a Data Leader Who's Done the Work

Ryan Hackett, founder of Data in Bloom Strategies

Ryan Hackett

Ryan has spent the last decade building and leading data organizations inside highly regulated, operationally complex businesses. Most recently, he served as Head of Data at one of the largest cannabis operators in the country, standing up a full data and analytics organization spanning data engineering, analytics engineering, data science, and business intelligence; owning everything from warehouse architecture to C-Suite reporting.

He's not just a strategist. He's deployed enterprise AI tools, developed agentic workflows, built critical data pipelines, and shipped production infrastructure his teams actually operated day-to-day. He's a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and holds an MBA and an MS in Strategic Management from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.

Data in Bloom exists because he kept seeing the same problem: operators who desperately need senior data leadership but aren't ready or aren't structured for a full-time VP hire. So he made that expertise available on a fractional and project basis.

How We Work

Direct over diplomatic.

You'll always know where you stand, what we recommend, and why. No hedge-filled consulting speak.

Build over theorize.

Every engagement produces something real: a working pipeline, a clear roadmap, a team that knows what to do next.

Industry-first perspective.

The industries we serve have unique data challenges: multi-market compliance, complex state-level reporting, and integration across dozens of operational systems. We've lived it.
